Our care

Medication reminders at home

A gentle prompt at the right time, so tablets aren't forgotten. Your loved one stays in charge of their own medicines.

What a medication reminders visit includes

  • Verbal reminders at the agreed times, built into regular visits
  • Letting the family know when medication is running low
  • Collecting prescriptions

Who it helps

People managing their own tablets who occasionally forget. About half of Aurora's clients have reminders as part of their plan.

What we don’t do

Our carers don't administer medication. If your loved one needs someone to give them their medicines, we'll talk you through other options.

Areas we cover

North Dorset, South Somerset and South Wiltshire. Call Kirsty with your postcode if you are not sure.

What families say

“My Mum has been using Aurora Care for a few months. Her carers have been exceptional; friendly, kind, diligent and very caring. Nothing has been too much trouble for them to do.”

“Aurora Care are the most amazing group of carers. Their experience and compassion are second to none, and they continually go above and beyond for my mum. They haven't just cared for her, they've supported our whole family too. Even though I live four hours away, they've eased so much worry because I know she's in such great hands. Thank you, Kirsty, Kayleigh and the team, you are truly a wonderful group of people and we have been so fortunate to find you.”

Bethany F. Google review

“Lovely ladies, extremely passionate about providing person centred care to the community. Highly recommend.”

“These girls and this business is quite the best. They are fun, professional, reliable and immensely kind and thoughtful. The business as such is very efficiently run and their communication skills with the family and their charges are superb.”

“[Her carer] has been an amazing companion/carer for my Mum who has vascular dementia and Alzheimer's. Mum has always been fiercely independent & with [her carer]'s support, we have the reassurance of knowing that she is safe & well cared for but can continue to live independently in her own home.”

Medication reminders questions

Yes. Collecting prescriptions can be part of a regular visit.

The carer records it in the CareLineLive app and lets Kirsty or Kayleigh know, who will contact the family.
