Is Aurora Care CQC registered?
Aurora Care AL Ltd is not currently registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and we do not provide personal care.
What we provide
Companionship, household help, wellbeing visits, outings, medication reminders, respite sitting, dementia companionship and support after hospital. None of these require CQC registration.
What we don’t provide
Until we are registered, Aurora does not provide personal care such as washing, dressing and toileting, or administering medication.
How we keep people safe
- DBS checks, renewed yearly or via the DBS Update Service.
- A face-to-face interview with the directors.
- A character reference.
- Shadow shifts with clients.
- Training delivered by Kirsty — safeguarding, first aid and basic life support, moving and handling, medication awareness, and food hygiene — with yearly refreshers.
- Supervision every 3–6 months.
- All our carers hold their own public liability insurance and business car insurance.
- Every plan overseen by a registered nurse.
We plan to register with the CQC so we can offer personal care. We’ll update this page as soon as there’s news.
